Nicole + Chris

The beautiful couple Nicole and Chris met 7 years ago through mutual friends at Chris' cricket club after winning the grand final. Chris made a good first impression and with no hesitations asked Nicole to his cricket presentation night a few weeks later. Nicole finished by telling us "as they say, the rest is history."

The Wedding

After booking Eagle Ridge as their venue of choice 13 months out, everything else fell into place for Nicole and Chris. They wanted to kept their ceremony short and sweet with celebrant Pauline Woolley tailoring the content to suit the story of how we met. As a beautiful tribute to Nicole's brother, both Nicole and Chris believe in marriage equality and asked Pauline to reference this as she legally states constitutes marriage in the eyes of the law.

When we asked Nicole to look back on her wedding day, she responded "We wouldn't change a single thing about our wedding. Other than make it go longer so we could soak it all in, it was absolutely everything we hoped and wished for."

The Theme

Nicole pieced together an elegant and classic style through the colours of white, pink and gold. This was reflected in the flowers and table decorations as well as their wedding stationary such as menus, place cards and seating chart.

The Cake & Flowers

A 3 tier wedding cake made by Cindy from 'Cindy's Cake Creations' accompanied her classic theme. The top tier was white fondant, middle tier was gold leaf and the bottom was white rose ruffles. Flavours were a mixture of classic chocolate, white mud and salted caramel.

'Woops A Daisy' florist beautifully pieced the bouquets, button holes, corsages, arch décor at Eagle Ridge, petal tossing station and table centrepieces through a mixture of pink and white flowers and greenery.

The Dress

"We did have one hiccup, both the bridesmaid dresses and the wedding dress arrived in a slightly different colour to what was ordered but I think it turned out for the better" Nicole explains. Her elegant mermaid style dress was an Allure Bridals dress from Raffaele Ciuca in Brunswick, with very detailed and delicate ivory lace covering a champagne underlay trailing down the skirt. It is beautiful.

The Photographer

Nicole and Chris could not have been happier with their wedding photography. "We were so happy with our photographer and the moments he captured of our special day. The results were magical." They wanted a natural style that captured the emotion of the day, not overly posed or awkward photos. "Corey is so amazingly talented and we are beyond happy with the end result."

The staff were great assisting with planning, organisation and nerves on the day!"

The Dress

It only took Melanie the second dress she tried on to know it was THE ONE! Her dress was a Mermaid style lace strapless from a local designer in Hallam, a perfect choice for her!

Lucy + Troy

High school sweethearts

When our latest beautiful bride met her sweetheart 11 years ago in high school, she never thought it would lead to wedded bliss. But, that’s exactly how this special story goes for Lucy and Troy. And, when they were looking for venue to exude romance, fun, friendship and most of all the perfect setting for a celebration, they choose Eagle Ridge to set the scene.

Lucy and Troy had their ceremony and reception at Eagle Ridge, when reflecting on their day they said: “our ceremony was one to remember – emotional and funny. But the perfect sunshine really made the whole day sparkle.”

“We feel so content and happy with how our wedding went. It looked amazing, we all felt incredible and it was perfect for us. What’s more, all of our guests had an amazing time” reflected Lucy.

The Dress

It’s easy to see from her radiating smile that Lucy was over the moon with every aspect of their day – including her gown. She chose a unique, one-of-a kind gown, made by international designer Berta Bridal, from Raffaele Ciuca in Armadale. It was made to measure in Israel, and then finished with the finest French lace, ivory silk and real pearls. Every touch portrayed Lucy’s personality perfectly, she said: “I felt amazing, sexy and elegant on the day.”

The Theme

When choosing a theme Lucy and Troy wanted to bring together all their special elements – particularly the uniqueness of Lucy’s gown, and their personalities. Lucy commented: “we went for a modern, elegant, classic, and glamorous theme – with a touch of vintage.”

The Hair, The Make-up

As a Beauty Therapy teacher finding just the right team to help Lucy her with hair and make-up were always going to be critical elements. Lucy chose to wear her hair in a classic detailed top-bun, finished perfectly with a pearl and crystal head piece, styled by Bella Paris. To complete her radiant look, Lucy’s makeup was done by the talented Sallie from Sallie Hair and Makeup, a local Mornington Peninsula makeup artist.

The Cake & Flowers

Like every other element, Lucy and Troy’s cake was classic – yet superbly elegant. Designed by Peninsula Cake Art it was a three tier, ivory cake filled with raspberry chocolate and white chocolate. Each tier was delicately piped, then delightfully styled with pink and white roses, and finished with gorgeous pearls to make it fit seamlessly with their theme.

Lucy & Troy’s flowers worked superbly with all of their individual elements - made the venue sing. Hello Blossom used a combination of roses in pinks, whites and greens.

The Photographer

No wedding is complete without the photos to preserve every precious memory. Lucy and Troy choose Michelle from In Photography to capture all of the heart felled laughter and tears of joy. When asked about their photographer Lucy and Troy said: “Michelle was patient, caring, and creative. She made us feel so comfortable throughout the day. Our photos are amazing and we are so happy.”

Casey + Travis

An online meeting in  saw our latest bride and groom go on their first date in December 2013, moved in together by February 2014, engaged in May 2014 and welcoming the news of their first child in June 2014.

Married in September, this is one couple who found love at first sight and haven't looked back...

The Dress

My dress was from the Allure Bridal Collection from Brides of Melbourne. It was a princess ivory ball gown with tulle skirt complete with a rhinestone waist. The tulle skirt was topped with an incredibly gorgeous lace bodice and a sheer, beaded back.

Dress designer's is Brides of Melbourne

The Theme

Our theme was black and white with a touch of silver to glam it up a bit. We wanted to have a modern, yet classic feel to our wedding which worked perfectly in the Ballroom at Eagle Ridge.

The Hair

My hair was long and styled in big waves, which suited the ball gown style of the dress perfectly. It was done at Salon D' Cazbaar in Hastings on the Mornington Peninsula.

The Cake & Flowers

We had a four tier wedding cake! It was amazing!  The cake was a wedding gift from my cousin who is a cake designer at Driftwood Cakes.  It was made up of tiers of chocolate and white chocolate marble with a tier of vanilla. I found the cake topper which was a fairy tale castle!  It was exactly what I wanted and finished the cake off perfectly. The whole cake looked like a fairy tale!

To match with our modern, classic theme we choose white roses for the day. The bridesmaids and I had bouquets with gorgeous white rose domes.  Travis and his groomsmen wore white rose buttonholes.  This all worked perfectly with the white rose petals at the ceremony. Our reception centerpieces were decorated with beautiful white roses, which looked stunning in the Ballroom.

The Photographer

Our photographer was brilliant. He was so friendly and professional.  They set up a great package for us that was extremely affordable.
